![]() Veterinarian's Best Cat Lube Hairball & Digestive Aid, 60 Chewable Tablets By: Veterinarian's Best Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 12 More Information Great Product! My cat, Latte, has been having hair balls problems for the past few of years...and hes an American shorthair! Just this past December I had to take him to the Vet Emergency Hospital at 1 AM for a Barium Swallow to help push the clump of hair out of his system. The poor little thing was so traumatized that he didnt even make a sound when I got him back...and thats "very" unusual for him. I will never forget the first time that he had this problem, four years ago. He was throwing up so much and got so dehydrated that the Vet had to put an IV line in his paw to give him fluids. Latte actually ended up having the barium swallow test, staying overnight at the hospital for observation and having surgery the following day. ....and he was not happy about it! Luckily, after making the incision in the abdomen, the Vet was able to break up the clump in the intestine without cutting it open...which I understand in the long run causes further problems due to the scarring of the intestine. To make a long story short, Ive been giving my cat this product every day, twice a day, for the past 8 months and it seems to be working well for him. In the beginning he refused to eat it, like all the other hair ball products that Ive tried in the past. Then, I tried mixing it with a treat to make it more appealing and it worked great. Now He cant get enough of it. The best thing about it is that, its all natural and was developed by a veterinarian. Unlike the majority of the other products in the market, it doesnt contain any harmful chemicals so I feel good giving it to him. Its a great digestive aid, especially for an indoor cat that wont even eat grass, like mine. I highly recommend it to anyone who owns a cat. Hit or miss My cats wont eat these on a regular basis. Sometimes they gobble them up and other times they wont eat them at all. I would suggesting giving them before their main meal so they are hungry. I cant comment on the efficacy because they havent used them on a regular basis. Good for the cat who likes treats, but doesn't like the goo My siamese cat HATES the gooey petroleum-based malt-flavored hairball remedies we call, "kitty lube." Hell flick it off and refuse to groom it off of his fur. But, being a snack-happy cat, he LOVES these tablets. I break them up into smaller pieces and let him nibble. They seem to work just as well as the kitty lube, and hes quite happy to eat these. (My other cat LOVES kitty lube from the tube, refuses most snack treats, therefore wont touch these chewable tablets.) So, its a good solution for the cat who is very snack motivated and hates lube. My cat loves it and it works I wasnt sure if my picky cat would actually eat this medication. the tablets look very bland. However I neednt have worried as she almost takes my hand off trying to get it!! She has been taking the medication for a couple of weeks now and Im already noticing a difference. Mainly her appetite is right where it should be. Before the meds she didnt eat very much, as I think her tummy was suffering due to the hairballs. Before trying these tablets I used syrup I had bought from my vet to treat her hairball problem. She loved the taste of the syrup but it didnt work very well. However this product does work well, and I will be buying it from now on. They work! My cat was having a few hairballs a week, and I wanted a natural, non-petroleum supplement that would alleviate the problem. Not only has it helped with the hairball issue, she loves them. I cant even break the tablet apart before shes trying to bite them out of my hand! Cat loves it; too early for long-term results I wanted to try a hairball treat for my cat which had more natural ingredients than others Ive purchased at the pet store. This had great reviews, so I thought Id give it a try. I was a bit skeptical when I saw the large pill-shape, and thought I might have to try and hide it in kittys food, but she loved the smell of it and is happy to eat them just as they are! In fact, she gets one every night before bed, and if Im running late she gets impatient for them and meows until I follow her into the kitchen and give her one! We havent been using them long enough to say how well it is helping with the hair-ball situation. I was also hoping it would help her overall digestion and make her litter-box leavings less smelly, but it does not seem to have helped that at all unfortunately. My cats love it... and it works! I have two cats... 6 years old... brother & sister. Typical hairball problems and Ive tried giving them the various tubes of pastes but that had mixed results. Recently the male started hacking up a hairball literally EVERY night so I ordered some of this stuff to see if it would help. My worst fear was they wouldnt eat it but they gobble these things down like they are the greatest cat treat ever. And after a few days the hairballs started to stop... hes down to maybe one a week now and I think after another week or two on these "treats" they may stop all together. Give it a try, it worked for me... Im ordering more! Seems to work I have older cats and they had started to throw up alot , not hairballs just after eating. I changed food and it helped but these help more. It seems that since my cats were not tossing up their hairballs they were probably just sitting in there taking up space and left little room for the food. That maybe completely wrong but since adding this only once in a blue moon do I find ( or hear ewwwww) the mess. I just wish my cats liked them well enough to just eat them, I have to crush them and mix it is with a small amount of canned food. They think they are getting a treat and taking the stuff too. I am on my second bottle of the lube. Cat Lube. Funny name, great product. Like many cats, mine had great problems with hair balls. I used several products which contain petroleum jelly or mineral oil, which didnt work, and might have made him worse. When my cat coughed up six furballs on my back step in one morning, I knew Id better try something else. I found Cat Lube from Natural Care (renamed Hairball Aid, bummer that!), which has an enzyme to help digest the fur, marshmallow root to sooth the stomach and intestinal tract, and slippery elm bark to "grease the skids". My cat is much more comfortable, and rarely has problems any more. I recommend this product without reservation. Effective and Cat Likes It My maine coon cat loves to eat these, he thinks theyre a treat! His hairball problem cleared up quickly and hes had no problems since! Outstanding Product My cat loves the flavor and it has really helped her with the hairballs. She use to vomit them up and it was traumatic for her with all the wretching. I recommend this remedy for hairball. Not a very good lube... I bought this lube and tried it out with my (now) ex boyfriend. It didnt help with anal at all! And we both smelled like tuna for a week. I dont recommend this stuff! My cat like it My cat actually asks me to put the pill for her in the bowl with the food. The pill is the first thing that gets eaten. I have a long haired cat. She used to get hairballs every little now and then. I used the creams to put in her mouth, or paws. But with this it is just easier and she never got it anymore. Going to the bathroom was hell for her when she had the hairballs till she got rid of it with medicine. Now I only give her half a pill everyday with her food. I recomend it to anyone whom doesnt want to deal with any hairball problems; or to the ones (like me) whom dont like to visit the vet often. The service was fast, and the packing was excelent. |
