BEST CAT TAXI

This is one of the best soft sided carriers you can buy. I had one that was larger, but cats like to be a bit more confined and so I broke down and bought the smaller version. I have a 12 pound kitty who likes the carrier although I bought it for the smaller girls. Therefore...weight seems not to be an issue with cats.. One feature that changed over the years was the opening in the top of the carrier. It is now easier to put an animal in and take out than ever before. The carrier also is a bit more sturdier than previous carriers made by this company...a great feature as it never caves in on itself as a result. All in all this is a great carrier...the cats love it and so do I.

Don't use the zippers!!!!!!!!

Purchased the medium "Original Sherpa Delux" with high hopes for flying with our 10 month old, 9 lb dog. On my second training run in the car I left the top flap open and my dog bit the open zipper track - which made the zipper inoperable. I shipped the carrier to Sherpa, figuring they would cut me some slack given the item was brand new and I was using it in good faith with a toy dog. I offered to upgrade to a better zipper, if available. Guess what? Not only did they not help me, they emailed me back requesting a Visa card # so they could charge me to ship the damaged item back. "Satisfaction guaranteed" is not part of their warranty. As an aside, there is no better zipper available from Sherpa...per the warranty customer representative I spoke with.

Great product but zipper not that resistant

I had my bag for about 1.5 yrs and it is a great product initially, but the zipper is not that resistant. I used it on average a couple of times a week (sometimes not even) and about a couple of months ago I noticed one of the zippers (the one I used the most) is now starting to get stuck. The bag is very well made otherwise and looks good. It is masculine enough for a guy and perfect for airline traveling... I just wish that zipper was better.

Best cat Taxi

This carrier arrived on time, well packaged and as described. It is extremely well made, a good deal for its price and easy to carry as back back. One of my two cats who used to put up homeric fights to get in her old one, then wailed all the way to the vet, now goes in by herself and is most of the time silent. The other cat who is mellow appreciates it as well.
Recommend both carrier and Petco, for their products and customer care.

Great little cat carrier

I was worried this carrier might be a little small for my 8 lb. adult cat, but he is very comfortable in it. My vet said that most people err on the side of carriers that are too large, and that cats actually tend to like smaller spaces because they feel more secure in them. In any case, Truman is able to turn around, and he relaxes nicely when hes in the carrier.

Its not a struggle to get him in, and taking him out is a cinch too, since one of the panels unzips entirely to lie flush with the floor. Theres a nice furry pad in there, and the mesh allows the animal to see out as it likes. A small zipped pocket can hold a brush and a ziploc of food or some favourite toys.
