New lease on life for elderly kitty

My 14 year old cat suddenly started limping and when I took her to the vet she was diagnosed with patellar luxation (her kneecaps dont stay in place) and arthritis. Cosequin for Cats was prescribed and worked wonders! It did take a while (2 or 3 months I think) but her limp disappeared almost all the time and her activity level increased. Dosage starts with a "loading dose" for about 4-6 weeks I think and then is lowered to a maintenance dose. After a year or 2 the limp returned and she spent most of her time in the same spot all day so at the vets instruction we re-loaded her w/the Cosequin and this time after only a few weeks shes back to normal! And the icing on the cake is that Amazons price is half what my vet charges!

I was skeptical that Cosequin for Cats would work for my cat, Lucky. Lucky has arthritis in his left knee and had been hobbling around for a while. Im amazed at how well hes getting around now. He is jumping up on counters and bed as he used to. I give him two capsules/day (hes about 13 pounds), one capsule sprinkled on his morning meal and one sprinkled on his evening meal. He eats dry food. It took about 3 weeks or so before I noticed an effect.

Our 14-year old cat used to be a super-athlete, but recently started hesitating to jump and developed a mild limp in her front leg. Vet recommended trying Cosequin for Cats to see if joint function improved; it took a while (2-3 weeks) but now she jumps easily. Doubt shell ever go back to climbing trees and shimmying down the 2nd story deck columns, but its nice to see her more active. While she still has a bit of a limp which well need to work on more with the vet, Cosequin certainly helps -and being able to get it at less than half the price from Amazon makes it just that much easier.

This is a great product. Our cat is 10 years old and was limping. The vet said it was arthritis and prescribed Cosequin. We noticed a difference in her gait within a few days. We bought it from the vet the first time but found it was much more reasonably priced thru Amazon.

My vet recommended this for a cat with severe urinary problems. I sprinkle it in his food daily which he either doesnt mind, or likes... (?? he eats it fine, so who knows?) It seems to have made a difference. He has been problem free for about a year now except for right after a period of time when I had run out of it- and you guessed it- we were back in the vets office. Its not scientific, but is suggestive, and its easy enough to keep him on it.

I am not a vet but...

...it was recommended by my vet for my cats urinary infection. My cat has a stone in her bladder and was in a lot of pain, so the vet recommended that she takes this every day with her meals. Ever since we started this, the cat hadnt been crying out in pain unless its something really serious.

Seems to make a difference

Our 18 year old kitty does seem to have an easier time getting up from laying down and is more eager to jump up on to higher objects. Didnt seem to take effect until about 4 weeks. I only give one pill a day since he is not the easiest to give a pill to, and when mixed in with food he wont eat it. I will continue to purchase this product since any ease of mobility for him is worth it.

I was told by my Veternarian to use Cosequin in regard to a mild bladder infection for my cat. He said that it aids in the health of the bladder by thickening the bladder lining. Along with aiding the bladder it is going to make any joint in her body feel better if there are any issues due to this product being Glucosamine Chondroitin. To date the bladder has no issues and she plays like she is a younger cat. I continue to keep her on it for joint health. Cosequin literally a life saver for my cat.

My 13 year old cat was suffering from constant joint pain in her front legs/shoulders as well as severe pain from degenerative discs in her lower spine near the base of her tail. She was starting to lose the use of her legs at times due to the pain in the lower back. I had used Medacam oral suspension and Adequin shots to help but it was looking like we might have to put her down. The vet recommended Cosequin 2 months ago and the results have been amazing. I was skeptical but willing to try anything. Although I read that it normally takes 6-8 weeks for improvement, my cat was doing better after about 1-2 weeks. At the one month point, she was acting like a 2 year old cat; she now jumps up on the sofa and runs around playing with toys; something she had not done in a long time. Cosequin has literally saved her life.

I was told by the vet to sprinkle half a capsule in her food twice daily. I found that the dosage was too much; it made her act like she was sick to her stomach. I reduced the dosage and now I sprinkle a large pinch of the powder in each meal, feeding her more often but smaller portions. That works and she seems to tolerate it well now. If your cat does not want to eat it, try putting just a small sprinkle in wet food; it seems that even getting a small amount into my cats system has helped a lot.

For those cats who will not eat it, I would recommend using a syrenge and getting it down somehow. The results are too good not to try it.

For the record, I do not work for the Cosequin company or sell the product; I am a regular consumer who has found it to be a miracle for my cat and do not want anyone else to miss out on the benefit. Good luck.

My Cats Hate This

Cosequin is supposed to work really well for cats with arthritis. However, Ive had 2 cats totally refuse to eat it, even if disguised in tuna or other meat. Im not talking, simple refusal. Im talking, the cat runs away. I wish this company would make the medication *tasteless*. Duh.

My cat loves to taste of this product and takes it without giving me any trouble. She licks it off her morning food and then eats her breakfast. This is a supplement for joint health but she is taking it for urinary tract infections. It seems to work and I have seen other reviews for this application.

The vet recommended this for one of our "kids" when she was around 11 years old and started having UTIs. I didnt really believe it would help much, but anything that might save her some pain, so we started with this.

I am pleased to say that they do seem to help her. And not just with her urinary tract but her joints as well, just as the product claims. After about 3 weeks on the cosequin she seemed to be getting around easier and playing more.

I made the mistake of running out and within 2 months she was back at the vet with a UTI. So I am back ordering more and I will be sure to keep them on hand.

They do fluctuate in price a lot, so shop around.

They are very easy to give to you cat as they are in capsule form. Just open them up and sprinkle them in the food. We have had no problems with them that way.

My 14 year-old cat has been taking Cosequin for about a year and a half. When she started taking it she had a stiffness in her hips that was causing her to move very slowly and she was unable to jump up on all but the lowest furniture. After less than a week she was showing a marked improvement. Now I give it to her every other day (1 capsule mixed with a small amount of canned food), and she is running around like a kitten. She likes the taste too.

My 22 year old cat Trudy doesnt get around as easily as she used to. On Cosequin her gait is more normal and she appears to be able to move more freely and without pain. Its a difference that is quite remarkable. Shes been on Cosequin for about four years. This cat is a quite finicky eater and rejects most supplements. We mix the contents of the Cosequin capsule in her morning food and she eats it all down without hesitation. This beats having to fight her every morning to force a pill down her throat. I suspect Cosequin contributes to urinary tract health as well because Trudy used to get UTIs but hasnt had one now for several years. I know my geriatric cats quality of life has been improved by Cosequin and Im thankful to have found something to ease her joint discomfort in her old age. Its definitely worth it to comparison shop for pricing on this product.

One of the Best Over the Counter Pet Medications Around

Before my gray tabby was given Cosequin on a regular basis, he was hobbling around on three legs in a great deal of pain. Within a matter of days, his pain subsided and he fully regained his quality of living.

Has changed my cats life!

Ive been shopping on Amazon for 5 years and this is the first review Ive written. This product has completly revolutionized my cats life! My little boy is FIV+ and is two years old now. Around 1 year of age, he stopped walking almost overnight. After a few weeks we had an appt. with a specialist who said he has permanently dislocated hips, knee caps and a right shouldar blade. Surgery was not an option since the problems were so widespread. I was devestated! They believe it to be caused by some congential birth bone defect, with not much hope for any sort of improvement. The Dr. said to just keep him comfortable and try to encourage him to walk as much as possible. Well, I worked as a vet tech for a year a while ago and remember the doctor using cosequin with cats with arthiritis. I picked some up and after a few weeks my little kitty was JUMPING again! He went from not walking basically at all (only to eat and use the littler box) to JUMPING! He now runs and chases his brother around like a kitten again. I owe it all to cosequin, it truly has saved his life!

Our cat had a back leg that was causing her to limp a bit with it. The vet took x-rays and determined there was a little arthritis in the joint and wrote a prescription for this medicine. My cat is 10 years old. She started having a problem with her left foreleg @ 18 months ago. The Cosequin seems to keep her mobile enough to move around comfortably. We also bought her "doggy" steps to help her get up and down in the higher areas of our home, and this helps her as well. She takes at least one Cosequin mixed with a small amount of canned cat food each morning. If she seems to be having more of a problem with her legs, I increase her dosage to two capsules for awhile.

Cats get old too!

This was originally prescribed for our 19-year old cat to help her with sore arthritic joints (back hips, tail base). Its the same medication that people use (chondroitin, glucoasmine) for their joints, albeit in a dosage appropriate for a cat. Its intended to help manage deterioration of the joints due to old age.

Its not a pain reliever, so its not going to keep your pet from crying out when you touch her sore joints. For this, see your vet!

While not a miracle supplement, I have seen a definite improvement in my cats comfort and happiness. He is moving more and easier within 2 weeks of starting 1 capsule per day. He wont accept it being sprinkled on his dry food, but happily laps it up when mixed with a very small amount of wet food (hes on a diet, so shouldnt have too much of it).

This product works! My picky 18+ cat can actually handle the taste. I pour the powder from the capsule in a bit of tuna juice and she laps it up before she gets her dinner. Without it, I dont think she would be able to get up any more. She is no spring chicken but at least she can still get up when anyone moves towards the kitchen in hopes of a little bit of food.

In fact, this supplement may be the only one that a cat can take safely for pain. It would be easy to believe that when a cat gets older [in cat years], their various joints, especially those vulnerable back legs, get creakier than even our old bones as humans. It is also difficult to watch that elderly animal, who has been a good addition to the family for a very long time, have to limp around going just about everywhere.

Two of these capsules, opened and sprinkled on her cat food, seems to give her some relief. About the only other thing to do is give her a couple hot meals daily. Yes, put that small amount of allotted wet food in a dish, then microwave for about 8 seconds. This is a hot meal from the cats point of view, for which she moves at double-time!

Our cat has been on Cosequin for over a year, since being diagnosed with severe arthritis in her hips and knees (13 y.o. Maine Coon female, 21 lbs at her heaviest...) By putting her on a restricted calorie diet and sprinkling Cosequin in her food, the reduced stress on her joints and the Cosequin have worked wonders on her. (She doesnt take pills well, so I open the capsule and sprinkle the powder onto her food, wet and dry. She has never not eaten it.) She is now jumping up on the beds and counters that she stopped trying to access. While the box and sleeves of pills are convenient, I would rather it be a bottle of loose pills to cut down on packaging. Highly recommend trying it for your older cat that is not getting around as well as it used to -- arthritis in cats is not as well known as it is in dogs, but believe me -- they get it too!

Prescribed for Hip Dysplasia

Our 5-year-old orange tabby was a 2-year-old when saved from a cat collectors flooded trailer with 50 other kitties. Among other problems that cropped up after he adopted us was a problem jumping & running. It turned out he has early hip dysplasia (which we thought mainly applied to dogs)and knees that popped out. The vet suggested Cosequin, 2 caps. every other day. Hes been on that for over 2 years and has shown dramatic improvement. Now, we have to search for him "High" as well as low, and his activity level has been sustained on the Cosequin.

I give this to my 12 yr old kitty - I give her the contents of one capsule a day (I open up the capsule and mix it with her wet food), and she scarfs it down in her wet food. Shes doing fine as far as jumping and moving around are concerned-- seems to be helping her be a bit more active as far as jumping is concerned.

This is similar to Glucosamine/Chondroitin for humans-- however its made for cats in a Specific Dosage and Formulation, and has chicken flavor, which also makes it much more appealing to them.

Check with your vet FIRST, if your cat has KIDNEY problems-- to make SURE you can give this to your cat.

My older cat was having a serious problem with urinary tract infections. After my vet put her on antibiotics many times with no permanent relief, she suggested Cosequin for Cats, because she read that it is often very effective in helping with urinary tract problems. I have been using it for a year and my cat has not had one urinary tract flair up. She is also benefiting from the joint relief. I am thrilled with this product. Also, she eats it mixed in her evening wet food with absolutely no problem. I love getting it from Amazon because I save a lot of money and it is always delivered very quickly.A great product! This is easy to give mixed in with wet food. My cat has not shown any dramatic improvement, but shes only been on it a month. We will continue on it to see what happens. It is very inexpensive - about $10.00 for 80 capsules, compared to my pricing this for my horse. I suggest trying it to see if it helps your cat. If not, then youre not out a lot of $.

My 17 year old cat has had arthritis in his back legs since he was a kitten. The older he got, the worse is got. About 5 months ago he could barely get up off the floor and we werent ready to have him put to sleep yet.

I checked into some stuff online and found Cosequin. I first purchased it from my vet for $22.00 because I needed it quickly, hoping it would work. I have several cats and didnt want to open a pill up and dump it on food that was a community bowl, so I started him out with two pills a day, which he swallowed in the pill form.

After the first day, I saw a change in my kitty. He was able to get up on his own once again and seemed far less stiff. By the end of the week, he was able to get up on the furniture by himself again. Hes still a bit stiff, but Cosequin seems to have erased the last 5 years of developing stiffness. Hes now down to one pill every other day, too.

I recently purchased his second bottle from here at a far cheaper price, including shipping. I love it. My vet is 45 minutes from my house, so this is great not having to spend the gas money to go purchase an item thats twice as much when I get there to pick it up.

I bought this product after getting a sample from my vet. I give it to my four-year old cat that was suffering from some sort of urinary irritation that caused her to pee outside her box. It has helped her tremendously and she has stopped the offending behavior.

Maybe there are miracles

When my vet prescribed Cosequin for my 17-year-old cats limp, I was a doubter. And I remained a doubter for the first few weeks, because it seemed to make no difference. But after about a month, he started showing improvement, and now, several months later, he barely shows any signs of arthritis. Obviously, this did not cure his problem, but it clearly has alleviated the symptoms, and eliminated his discomfort walking and sitting. It has improved my old guys quality of life substantially. You just have to be patient!

Dr. Benjamin Cassuto, DVM (Banfield) recommended I give this to my cat with chronic cystitis. I sprinkle the powder into his food, and he doesnt even notice it (or doesnt mind if he does.) Although I cant know for sure how much of a role this is playing in his recovery maintenance (because he also had a course of antibiotics), at least he IS staying healthy. I believe the Cosequin is a contributor to his health at least. (The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, is because of inability to scientifically distinguish elements.) I plan to continue with this product, since it appears to be helping him. Thanks

My cat Oscar has been recently diagnosed with arthritis, it has been troubling him for a while and it took 3 different vetrinarians before we found our current and fantastic vet who finally diagnosed his ailment correctly.

Upon starting the Cosequin treatments his behavior almost immediately improved! The usual recovery period is a couple months, but Oscars condition really improved on day 2! It has been 2 months into the treatment now and he is acting years younger...now, sometimes during play time, he plays so hard he jumps and flips into the air and I have to say: "woah buddy! calm down there before you hurt yourself!"

I highly recommend this product to anyone facing cat arthritis! I hope that it does in fact rebuild some of the lost joint tissue as stated and hope he can one day recover from this ailment.

I'm getting the human version for myself

My cat is 8 years old and has joint problems in both front legs. My vet prescribed this product after an expensive diagnosis ($300+). Its less than half the price on Amazon as oposed to buying it at my vet. My cat improved significantly after a couple of weeks. After 2-3 weeks you can reduce the dosage by half. Im no spring chicken and Im going to get Nutramaxs human form of this medication for my joint problems (not sure if available here but it is a product).

My cat Zoe, who will be 10 in December, suffers from hip dysplasia, which contributed to a temporary paralysis of her back legs several years ago, when she fell while attempting to jump on a counter and "dented" her spine. After treatment with steroids, she recovered the use of her back legs, but still walked slightly sideways, keeping her back feet close together. My vet strongly recommended Cosequin when I brought her in for a checkup last year, so I decided to try one box on a trial basis (rather expensive at the vets office). Within two weeks, Zoe was a new cat - running around the house, playing with her toys, very vocal and affectionate, and overall far more active than shed been in years. I add two capsules worth of powder to her ration of kibble every day, and shake it up in a baggie to coat the food. Amazons price is about half of the vets price. I cannot say enough good things about this product, and am glad to have my "old" Zoe back.

I have a 4 1/2 year old cat whos suffered from sterile cystitis since she was a young kitten. This is rare in cats so young so it took a long time and many tests to figure out what was wrong with her. Finally our vet mentioned that there was a possibility she had sterile cystitis and that we should try Cosequin and see if it worked. Our first night trying it this skittish kitten who hated pills licked up half of the powder before I could even mix it in with the food! She loved it! Within about a week her symptoms were dissipating and we stopped noticing as much blood in her urine. A few weeks later she was just fine, obviously not in pain anymore. Shes been on these pills about 3 years now, taking one nearly every night in a small amount of babyfood, and weve only seen a couple small, short outbreaks of her sterile cystitis, and only during periods of very high stress (such as when we moved).

While it doesnt break the bank at the vet, its MUCH cheaper on here, more than half off the price Ive noticed. Also weve never had a problem with it showing up late or damaged. Since our cat could very well be on this for the rest of her life Im so glad we have a place to buy it from that saves us so much money!

I have a 4 1/2 year old cat whos suffered from sterile cystitis since she was a young kitten. This is rare in cats so young so it took a long time and many tests to figure out what was wrong with her. Finally our vet mentioned that there was a possibility she had sterile cystitis and that we should try Cosequin and see if it worked. Our first night trying it this skittish kitten who hated pills licked up half of the powder before I could even mix it in with the food! She loved it! Within about a week her symptoms were dissipating and we stopped noticing as much blood in her urine. A few weeks later she was just fine, obviously not in pain anymore. Shes been on these pills about 3 years now, taking one nearly every night in a small amount of babyfood, and weve only seen a couple small, short outbreaks of her sterile cystitis, and only during periods of very high stress (such as when we moved).

While it doesnt break the bank at the vet, its MUCH cheaper on here, more than half off the price Ive noticed. Also weve never had a problem with it showing up late or damaged. Since our cat could very well be on this for the rest of her life Im so glad we have a place to buy it from that saves us so much money!

Pandora is back on the couch!

Pandora is my 17 year old cat. I found her when I was 14 years old laying along the side of the highway and my mom helped me rush her to the vet for emergency surgery. At 6 weeks of age Pandy lost one of her front legs. As she has gotten older I can tell when she is hurting, she walks lower in the front, stops frequently to rest, and will no longer get up on the couch for Pandy-Love. I had been giving her Metacam but after recent kidney problems due to a bruised kidney in a car accident I had to discontinue that product and switched to Cosequin as a safe alternative. Pandy started doing so much better after about 2 days, she started demanding her special canned food mix and jumping on the couch again. I ran out of this product recently and trust me, I noticed the difference right away. I feel so bad for letting her run out and it will not happen again. I work at a vet clinic and there are very few options out there for arthritic kitties. I think this product is worth a try. It may not help everybody but it does help the majority.

Puts a Spring In Her Step

My vet recommended that I begin using this product for my 15 year old cat. She used to have a lot of clicking and popping in her joints prior to using this product. Since she has been on the Cosequin, I no longer hear the joint noise that I had been hearing previously.

Dramatic difference in mobility

My 16 year old cat had gotten to the point that she had trouble walking up and down the stairs, and she was no longer able to jump at all. The vet recommended Cosequin - within two weeks she was able to run up and down the steps again, and after a month she was once again able to jump onto her perch to look out the window. I was amazed at how much younger she acted and how much happier she seemed. Cosequin definitely improved her quality of life.

Despite the tremendous improvement, I didnt give this 5 stars because my cat objected to either the taste or smell. She wouldnt eat anything that this was mixed with. I ended up having to use a pill popper for administering these. Its not pleasant to do, but the results are worth the effort.

There are other products on the market, but you are required to either give the cat two capsules a day, cut tablets in half, or crush tablets/capsules. No other product that I know of has the easy to pull apart capsules AND once a day dosage. No need to measure the dosage. Just pop a capsule out of the blister pack, pull it apart and mix the powder into some canned food. It doesnt get much easier than that. The best part is not having to try to shove a capsule or tablet down my cats throat!

A Dramatic Change for the Better!

My elderly kitty had orthopedic surgery on his right knee in Feb 07 and a month later he was still in pain and walking very gingerly. Our local vet suggested Nutramax Cosequin for Cats and within four days there was an absolutely dramatic change for the better. Moses stopped growling, crying, and biting his tail. He began walking around the bedroom in which he was confined (for safety). His appetite improved and he enjoyed grooming once again. He has continued his progress and his walk is sure-footed and appears painless. He sleeps well, is as active as his surgeon allows, and we are very thankful to have found this product. My fiancee believes that Glucosamine and Chondroitin enabled him to postpone his knee surgery for nearly ten years so he was not as surprised as I about our kittys improvement.

From Limping to Limber

My 13-year-old cat was limping for a few days, off and on, and my vet said it was probably arthritis. A friend had told me that giving her arthritic dog Nutramax Cosequin had helped him, and I already knew that regular cosequin has helped ME with MY arthritis, so I bought a box of Nutramax Cosequin For Cats from my vet for my kitty to try. It really made a difference! He stopped limping and could walk farther and faster on our walks together around our lake. He was so happy, and so was I. On my vets recommendation, I continued giving him one tuna-flavored capsule each day, sprinkled over his food, as a good preventative to slow further joint deterioration, all without the side effects which he might have gottten from prescription medication. I would highly recommend this product for cats and dogs as a first line of treatment for arthritis; and buying it from Amazon saved me about 2/3 of the cost from the vet.

Cosequin for cats has been a blessing to my cat. He is a picky eater and I was skeptical as to whether or not he would eat it. Pilling him is tough, but possible. Lucky for me, these capsules can be opened and the supplement sprinkled onto his food. Bungee actually looks forward to his treat and meows if it is missing from his dinner. So getting it into him is easy. But the results have been wonderful. He is about to turn 10. But I could see signs that his back was becoming uncomfortable. I decided to put him on Cosequin before things went bad. He is doing great!

Ive had my cat on this product for several years now. At 19 years of age, she is still going strong! She begs to be "beat up" - you have to flop her down on the floor, rough up one side, flop her over, rough up the OTHER side, then get the string and let her chase it around. She can still do about 6 laps before getting tuckered! I attribute a lot of this activity to the CoSequin, recommended by my vet originally for my 12 year old Rottweiler (who has since passed on) - started my cat on the feline dose and she is MUCH more comfortable and moves around a lot more than prior to this wonderful stuff.

Buying it here is certainly more economical than getting it from my vet, too!

Really works!

This product has really helped my cat, who has advanced arthritis in his left hip. He likes the flavor when I mix it into his food. However, I found that I had to ignore the instructions about reducing his dose for maintenance after 4-6 weeks. He does great on the original dose of two capsules a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. He seems to be in a lot less pain, is more frisky and enthusiastic about life, which says a lot when you consider hes over 15 years old! The only "side effect" I noticed was a temporary softening of his stools. Very effective and safe treatment.

Much improvement after 40 days

My cat is 11 years old, and he was experiencing odd behavior with the rear half of his body, where it looked like he just didnt have control of his legs sometimes. The vet did much poking and prodding, and she could only be certain he had arthritis along his spine, based on his reaction when she pressed firmly with her fingers. We started him on Cosequin a month and a half ago, one capsule in the am and one in the pm, and he is doing so much better. I havent seen that odd loss of control, as I call it, and hes been running around like weve taken 5 years off his life. Two polyactyl thumbs up for Cosequin!

My cat Mira, a 5 year old polydactyl tabby, was diagnosed with hip dysplasia several months ago. Shed never been a big leaper (never leapt onto my kitchen counters!), but when she wouldnt jump onto my bed, or even sit up for a little bite of tuna, I knew she was in trouble. X-rays showed hip dysplasia. Her vet put her on a short regimen of prednisone, plus daily supplements of Cosequin (1 pill per day). After two weeks, I was able to discontinue the prednisone. That left her with just the Cosequin, which her vet recommended should remain a permanent supplement to her diet.

Im happy to report that since shes been off the prednisone, eating food supplemented once daily with the Cosequin, shes been her old self again! She leaps easily onto my bed, and sits up for treats. Im VERY happy with the results of this supplement -- and sos she. Two polyactyl thumbs up for Cosequin!

It really does work

One of our cats, only seven years old, began to develop a substantial limp in his right front leg. The vet diagnosed arthritis and prescribed Cosequin, which is primarily a combination of Glucosamine and Chondroitin. Weve been giving it to our cat for the last half year, and his limp has almost entirely disappeared. Since its rather unlikely that our cat is experiencing a placebo effect, Im inclined to credit the Glucosamine and Chondroitin.

After experimenting with dosage, weve settled on three pills a day (the cat is 14.5 pounds), given in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Even if we forget one once in a while its no big deal (it helps to have one of those daily pill cases to keep track). The cat has gotten very used to having a pill shoved down his throat. One person can lay him on his side, open his jaws, and poke the pill down with the other hand. It only takes a couple of seconds. Of course, your mileage may vary; some cats are terrible at taking pills.

Cosequin is available from many web sites all over the Internet, sometimes even with free shipping. But Amazon has a decent price. Its all the same brand.

My 18 year old cat tore a ligament in her front paw & had to have it casted, the vet suggested using this supplement @20$ a box, so I agreed. The first week or so she was barely eating and I couldnt get the capsule in her because of lost appitite. BUT this week she was eating a little better and for the 4th day in a row she has taken it, & what a different in my cat I couldnt imagine an 18yr old cat with a cast prancing around as she is doing. I started my 14 year old cat on this when she started having problems with her joints. It has made a huge difference in her quality of life. She jumps and runs around like she is 10 years younger. Old Cats Move Like Kittens

Unlike some of the generic glucosamine chondroitin products, Cosequin works great for our 20-year old cat. Her mobility was greatly enhanced after just three doses of Cosequin. This formula is specifically for felines, so you can feel safe giving it to your cat. Most other products tout that they are for both dogs and cats. Its rare that a product is actually good for both.
