Relief for Puppies Itchy Stinky Ears

One of my labs used to get itchy stinky ears, especially in the summer time. My wonderful vet said it was most likely due to his ears staying damp from being in the pool and the heat outside. Anyway, my vet recommended this ALL NATURAL product and it works great to keep my puppies ears well and smelling fresh, plus it smells really good, like peaches! Just make sure that its room temperature as they dont like having something cold squirted into their ears, would you?! If using in the winter, I recommend warming in a bowl of hot water first. Its a lot more expensive at the vets office so since I use it regularly, I found it here at Amazon at a much better price. I definitely recommend if your dog has itchy, smelly ears ... just make sure with your vet thats the only problem with your babys ears!

Good for general cleaning

This is the only product I have tried so far on my Lab and I am pleased with the results. My vet - who doesnt sell it herself - agreed that it was a good product to use for general cleaning and in conjunction with a prescribed medication in the case of an ear infection. I tried to use this alone on an actual yeast ear infection for a week and I didnt notice any progress. When I used it in conjunction with Mometamax (Antibiotic, anti-inflammatory), the infection cleared in 3 days and has not returned. The smell is strong and citrusy. It should definitely mask any unpleasant odour although my dog didnt really have a bad odour in his infected ear to begin with.

The only ear wash that does not irritate my dogs ear and the only ear wash that seems to help prevent and treat mild yeast infections. I also like that this product contains boric acid. My vet uses this product.

Works great

Works great to keep our allergic Golden Retrievers ears clean and free from ear infections. Slight smell of vinegar, but peach smell is stronger and I will gladly put up with a slight smell of vinegar to keep her ears healthy.

This was prescribed by our vet but the fee they charged was prohibitive! Thankfully, I found it here on Amazon for a more realistic price. It works really well and although the smell is not great, it is really not that bad and it is well worth the minor setback knowing my dog now has a much reduced risk of the painful and hugely uncomfortable ear infections he is prone to. This really works and aside from vinegar and water, the cheaper alternative, this is a cost effective way of avoiding so many expensive vet visits.

Good cleaning solution

This is a great solution for washing pets ears. Weve been using it 2-4 times a month, and havent had any ear-related problems since.

The 16oz bottle is the best deal.

Since we started this product on our dogs, even tho they are in the water every day, they have not had any ear infections. (for 3 yrs now!) We recommend it to everyone that has a dog that loves the water.

I have a golden retriever that is very prone to allergies and ear problems. During Allergy Season we clean his ears with the Dermapet as a preventative. He hasnt had an ear infection for 3 years. This stuff is FANTASTIC!

This product was highly recommended by other dogs owners. I was skeptical about how great it was until I used it.
It is great! We had been to the vet and have battled ear problems for a couple of years - After one use we noticed a difference!
Now we just use it once a month - Just a few drops on a cottonball is all it takes.
Also great for cleaning minor skin abrasions.

A must have for dog owners

This is a very good ear cleaner. At the vet, this price is rather expensive, but I have used ones from the pet stores, and I have to say that this is the formula vets use and recommend. I do like it, and it is a great product for dogs with floppy ears. A big bottle will last a long time. Even if your dog has no apparent ear problems, using this cleaner once a month would be great. My dog had a recurring ear infection and with the help of an ointment and cleaning with this product, it cleared up. It has a pleasant smell, too.

Been using it for years, ever since my 1st yellow Lab service dog had a yeast infection in his ears. I use it every time he get wet from a bath or playing in the water to keep his ears dry and clean. And never had any problems with his ears since. Due your friend a favor get some.

This product is recommended by my vet. I use it almost on a daily basis. It helps control the odor and remove debris from my dogs chronic ear infection. It doesnt cure her, but makes her more comfortable when Im able to clean out what shes been excreting from her ear. It works well in conjunction with anti-biotics and to maintain the much needed cleanliness of her ears.

Preferable ear cleaning product

As this is a non-alcohol product there is no irritation or burning. I use it after bathing my dogs to prevent any problems of infection from water getting into the ears. Anytime my dogs need their ears cleaned "DermaPet" Malacetic Otic Ear/Skin Cleanser is my first choice

This ear cleaner has done total wonders for my dogs frequent ear infections. I tried another type of cleaner my vet gave me, but it really did nothing. Even when prescription medication wouldnt make her ear infections go away, using this stuff for a couple weeks will! It also smells much more pleasant than most other medications. I highly recommend it.

We have been using this product on our golden retriever for over 10 years. As a pup he kept getting yeast infections in his ears. The vet recommended that we clean his ears every several days with this product and the problem has gone away. Obviously we continue to use the product for over 10 years which indicates how pleased we are with the results.
