I received my product promptly. Glucosamine - a life saver for my cat with chronic UTIs On: 2008-01-14My cat has had blood in her urine for years (she is 3 now). I had spent hundreds of dollars on diagnostics without successful diagnosis or treatment. I have a good friend (who is a vet) who said that he remembered years ago seeing (on the internet!) that (human) Drs. and Vets alike were giving their human/animal patients (dogs and cats) a product called Glucosamine (a fish extract generally used for joint therapy) for ideopathic (i.e., "without cause") hematuria (blood in urine), and that he had since had remarkable results with it with his chronic UTI (urinary tract infection) cats. I was skeptical, but began giving these chewable tablets twice a day (my cat LOVES them), and within a week, her urine cleared up, and has been "clear" (no blood) for over 3 months. Amazing!! But ultimately, feeding tablets is difficult with some felines, so we had to switch to liquid. If your cat will take a tablet or eat this crumbled into food, you are home-free. We liked it but had to go with another formulation. |
