has the same sugar as soda-pop

I regret using this toothpaste. It contains sugar (dextrose). It makes no sense to brush your dogs or cats teeth with the same sugar that is in soda-pop! I have mixed feeling about sorbitol, too. Sorbitol can cause stomach upset, but it is not likely to happen. Vets are wrong to push this stuff.

Dont use this even if your ignorant vet says to or sells it to you.

Shame on vets for selling this stuff. Mine sold me my first tube of this stuff and now that Ive wised up, it has made me lose trust in him.

No more doggie breath!

This toothpaste really improves my dogs breath and keeps her teeth white. I purchased the vanilla mint flavor once in the past and she did not care for it, but she loves the poultry flavor and comes running when I say the words "Lets brush your teeth!"

Excellent product

Easy to use. Just brush pets teeth, especially the ones in the top back, every other day. Saves a fortune in Vet Bills. My 14 year old mom and dad shih tzus teeth are immaculate, as are their 3 babies age 9.

Beware of Shipping Charges

C.E.T. toothpaste in the poultry flavor Buddy (dog) seems to love the flavor. He likes it so much that its hard to brush his teeth due to him being so busy eating it. The two cats dont mind it too much. I gave it 3 stars only due to the shipping. You could purchase it at a vets office for a little less or the same price without waiting for the product to arrive. After you add the cost of product and shipping charges. They ship it by mail and it cant possibly cost $5.95 for mailing a small package.

My dog loves the chicken/poultry flavored paste and cant wait to brush! His teeth look great, I think the enzyme in the toothpaste works well.

My kitty loves this toothpaste

My cat was four years old when the vet said he was getting gingivitis. I didnt think hed let me brush his teeth, but, with patience, he doesnt mind at all now. Think he likes the poultry flavor. The vet says his teeth look great now. Im happy and so is my Toby. Very good product, dont hesitate to buy it. I also got the little mini toothbrush that fits on your finger.

This is THE toothpaste!

This is THE only toothpaste that my dogs go crazy over. Even my rescues, who have never had they teeth brushed before, are begging for this after just a couple brushings. This and the Triple-Pet toothbrush are the combination to a healthy mouth. Mine get their brushed every day and the Vet says their teeth are great! My Vet sells this brand only, but Amazon sells it for much less.

Ive tried so many different toothpastes on my dog and he runs away from every single one... except this brand! He loves it! Its like a treat for him, which makes brushing his teeth an enjoyable experience for him and me. And his breath no longer smells of dead fish. YAY!
If youre having trouble getting your dog to let you brush his teeth, I recommend trying this product.

I love, or I should say, my cat loves this product! He sees it as a treat. I just put a bit on a little toothbrush and he chews on the toothbrush until all of the toothpaste is gone. I have had his teeth cleaned a couple of times, but he is getting up in years and I dont want to put him through that anymore. The vet suggested this product and he has had great dental exams since we have been using it. The vet said that since it is enzymatic, the cleaning action is activated just from him chewing it.

Works Well And My Dog Likes It!

Ive used this toothpaste (poultry flavor) on my dogs teeth for several years. Our vet has not deemed it necessary to clean my dogs teeth himself and has, more than once, commented on how well my dogs teeth look. Plus, my dog seems to like the flavor of this toothpaste which makes brushing her teeth easy.

tasty for cats

My cat will not let me brush his teeth with anything else! I got this brand as a sample from my old vet, bought a different kind from my new vet, and I cant use the new kind at all :(

There is a lot of brush licking involved, and then a little bristle gnawing, and like magic his breath gets better. The toothpaste my cat wants with the results I want. A good buy.

Another Necessary Chore

I use one of my old soft bristled long handled tooth brushes and ambush my cat when hes napping wearing 4 dollar neoprine faced gloves once a day. The cat doesnt like it and probably never will but vets say that ideally their teeth should be brushed regularly. If your cat is declawed that would help because this procedure can be dangerous. Ive been hurt a few times that way. Wear clothes, eye protection, use good lighting and never let your guard down when youre doing this. Take what you can reasonably get from the animal and dont do it more than once a day. I would imagine that for some cats and people, this would be way more trouble than its worth but you ultimately have to make that call for yourself. As far as the tooth paste is concerned; no problems there that I can see. Im using the seafood flavor however. The shipping was high, the toothpaste is expensive but I got free shipping on a reorder and have 10 tubes of it which should be enough for several years.

Our dog love this

This doggie toothpaste makes brushing our dogs teeth so easy because the dogs crave this. We also use it to entice our dogs to take pills when that is required as they simply can not resist this stuff. I cant understand why because to me it stinks but they think it is the greatest thing ever. If you have had to fight your dog to get him to allow you to brush his teeth, or if you dont brush your dogs teeth and want to help keep your dog healthy, this is what you want. Highly recommended.

Night-time Routine

My Sheltie gets her teeth brushed every night as part of the bedtime routine. She actually runs to the bathroom when I tell her, "Time to brush your teeth". She loves it and has been getting her teeth brushed since she was a puppy. My cat also comes running to get some licking off my finger. We use Poultry and Malt flavours and are going to try the Vanilla Mint. Just like with people, if an animals teeth arent healthy, it can make the animal sick. Good dental hygiene is part of good health. Start them young and its a breeze! Purchasing through Amazon was HALF PRICE from what the Veterinarian charges too!!

Standard poodles have a problem with tartar on their teeth, and ours is no different. This product keeps her from having to have her teeth professionally cleaned too often (to be avoided due to the necessity for anesthesia). My guess is that if we brushed her teeth every day plus gave her the dentahex chews, she wouldnt need professional cleaning. However, she doesnt like having her teeth brushed even though she likes the taste of the toothpaste. So it takes both my husband and me to do it -- he holds her jaw open, and I brush. Most people tell me that their dogs willingly open their mouths to get their teeth brushed; unfortunately ours doesnt.

We purchased the CET toothpaste at our vets office not terribly long ago. I generally do a good job remembering to brush their teeth a few times a week. I have to say though that this stuff does a great job at softening the plaque build-up and making it easier to keep their teeth pearly white! This also has improved their breath a BUNCH, and I no longer mind doggy kisses.
The dogs love the taste and they all line up for their turn sitting atop the toilet seat for their toothbrushing. Easy peasy!

My dog loves this toothpaste

She isnt too keen on the brushing part, but my dog is all over the toothpaste. Even though the brushing interferes with the very important toothpaste eating, the yummy taste seems to inspire her tolerance. I cant say how effective the toothpaste is (havent been to the vet lately for an inspection), but a big canine tail wag for the taste.
