Outstanding

Weve been using this water dispenser for several years and I love. I find it easy to clean and, unlike another reviewer, have never had a problem with algae in the water container. Maybe its something in the water. I do scrub the dish each time I fill the tank (about once every two weeks).

Somehow I managed to crack the tank today while I was refilling it. I was very happy to see that Amazon carried the exact same dispenser; Ive got a replacement on the way.

I liked the last one I had, I bought another one. Since they last so long, I hope this company is still around when I need another....just like it. Thanks for making such a durable and user friendly product.

Four dogs and a cat share this water supply. They were very happy when the new one arrived.

Ive had one for 7 years and it had aged so when I dropped it shattered. But it has been so convenient and useful, I had to replace it. Its very good for pets when you work alot and cant be home to fill a bowl. Its also impossible for them to knock it over and spill it.I would buy another one in a heart beat.

you have to be able to handle a oval container that is about 24 lbs when full.
My one dog was scared of the glub-glub sound when drinking.
It took her a few months of being nervous and needing me to stand near... but now there is no problem.
(I gave her a second choice of water during this time... that was farther away, to make her want to use this one)

WARNING: WATER GETS GROSS FAST!!

It is a good concept to not have to refill the water bowl all the time, and this product worked as advertised, but i had to return it because the water would get hair and food sediments in it. The water got gross really fast so my dog wouldnt drink from it unless i cleaned out the bowl way before the tank ran out, which defeats the purpose. i wish someone had warned me of this in the reviews before purchasing. If your pet doesnt shed or get any food in its water bowl, or doesnt care how gross its water gets, then this product will be good for you. Otherwise, just get a larger bowl like Im going to do.

I like that it lasts a little less than a week for every fill, but I am disappointed by the fact that the water mildews. So I cant fill it up all the way b/c than the water turns all green. Oh, well. Nothing is perfect.

Boy! A dog watering bowl. How hard can it be to design a good one? Pretty hard, I guess, since I havent found one yet that Id give 5 stars.

Ive been using this one for about two years. The good thing here is that it holds 3 gallons so I only have to refill it about twice a week for my two dogs.

The bad - gunk (algae, I think, or some other kind of scum) grows inside the tank and its really hard to clean it out. Also, to refill you fill the tank with water, replace the lid, then in one clean swift movement you have to flip it over and insert it into the base before the water squirts out all over the place. Filled with water, the tank weighs over 20 lbs so this is not as easy as it sounds.

I think if theyd put an airtight lid on the TOP of the tank in addition to the regular screw lid on the bottom, both these problems would go away. You could remove the top lid to reach in and clean the other end, and you could refill the tank through the top.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT

This is a FANTASTIC PRODUCT!!
Water jug is heavy plastic and didnt have the "Plastic Smell" some of the other brands have.

It actually exceeded my expectations for the price.

Excellent for multi-pet household!

With 2 Shelties and 1 cat, this is a real boon. It replaced a similar 1.5 liter container that needed filling every other day. This is better quality material than the old one, cleans easily, and has a solid footprint, meaning it holds the floor well. A sugggestion is select a position that is out of the sun -- the water can get too warm. Only complaint would be the weight of carrying the filled container. Keep the tab tight in place until the water jug is in place, then flip it open to allow the water to run into the bottom. The animals love it, and use it! It works great!

Good waterer

My dog and I enjoy this waterer a lot. He drinks a lot of water and is usually really messy with it. This waterer requires less worrying about him running out and causes less of a mess:)

great concept; cheaply made

We have two 90 pound dogs and it felt like we were filling their water bowl every 4 hours. I love the 3 gallon capacity, and now we refill the water every 4-5 days which is great. My complaint, though, is that it is cheaply made and very hard to line the threads up to put the top back on. We wrestle with it for several minutes every time and we never know how it will line up in relation to putting it back in the container. If its off a little, its very hard to open the top to let the water out.
I love that the water lasts 4-5 days. If it didnt, this would be returned because of the hassle with the top every time.

Convenient and attractive

This waterer was just the ticket to keep my 60 pound dog happy. It holds 3 gallons so I fill it about every week or so and wash it out. It is more attractive than any others Ive seen and holds the most.

Just BE CAREFUL when filling it and carrying it. 3 gallons of water weighs a lot. This might not be the best choice for the elderly or young children. The first time I bought it I didnt screw the lid on tightly enough and I dropped it all over the floor. Then recently I dropped the whole thing on the floor while moving it from inside the sink to the counter. It broke and I had to clean up 3 gallons off the floor. be careful!

When I fill it, I put the gray base on the floor first then take the water and carefully flip it over into it, with the plug left open. Opening the plug after you flip the water is really tough.

Ill be buying a replacement the next time I go to Walmart. 5 stars.

Great Waterer

This is actually the 3rd one of these Im buying. I just accidentally broke my original and am replacing it. Ive had great success with them and they definitely make having several pets easier. Be advised - the unit comes in a weird aqua green color and not the black shown.

This was exactly what I was looking for and it was so much easier than having to go to the store to get it! It was shipped VERY fast and our dogs are a LOT less messy with it!
