![]() Grass Gel For Cats - Hairball Remedy - 4 oz By: Gimborn-Redi Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 12 More Information Best Hairball Remedy Tried many hair ball products which the cat would not eat...one lick and hed just shake it off his paw. Found Grass Gel and the cat loves it! After using Grass Gel I even tried using a different brand to see how the cat would react---couldnt fool him. He refuses any other hairball product. Also important, Grass Gel has been very successful in reducing the frequency and size of hairballs. I recommend this product highly. My cat loves grass gel All I have to do is say to my cat "do you want some grass?" he comes running. Great product, this is my 2nd order. Would recommend to anyone with a cat. My cat has become obsessed! One of my cats pukes a lot, so I got him this grass gel. He has become obsessed with it! He loves it so much, when he sees me grab it, he crawls all over me trying to get at the tube. He loves eating pet grass, but it can be hard to maintain. This is great because I dont have to tend to it, and he still loves it. It seems to have reduced the puking, so thats a definite thumbs up! our cats love it ! Some of our cats our not allowed outside, so we give them this supplement. They love the taste, they eat it, and no more hairballs to clean up from the carpet. Great product, five stars !! favorite kitty treat Best treat my Siamese cats ever had. They go to the drawer its in and call out with raised paws for me to swipe the gel on so they can lick it off. They want it twice a day and it lasts a long time. I love this product, but cant find it anywhere in Columbia SC pet stores, so Ill continue to order online. One satisfied pet owner! Took some time for the cat kids to take to this product.... My kids are used to hairball remedies and usually like them right up, but this one took a lot of smelling and many walk aways before they took to it. It seems to be keeping the airballs to a minimum though. Mmm...animal digest I bought this for my cats because they love eating grass and have avoided hairball remedies in the past, even when I mixed it in their food (they just refused to eat the food then). Im an ingredient-conscious person when it comes to what I feed my cats. I try to give them high quality foods with no fillers or poor ingredients, and have been happy to see what a difference a high quality diet makes to their fur and energy levels. I forgot to look at the ingredients for this prior to my purchase but looked it over after I received it. The first few ingredients werent so bad, and then I got to an ingredient listed as "animal digest." Heres the Wikipedia definition for animal digest: "Animal Digest is a common ingredient used in pet foods. It is material which results from chemical and/or enzymatic hydrolysis of clean and undecomposed animal tissue. The animal tissues used shall be exclusive of hair, horns, teeth, hooves and feathers, except in such trace amounts as might occur unavoidably in good factory practice and shall be suitable for animal feed.[1] As defined by the AAFCO, it is produced by chemically or enzymatically treating animal tissue (such as flesh, bone, organs, etc.) from slaughterhouses and other sources, in a process akin to rendering. Yet another expert defines this as "a cooked-down broth" which can be made from unspecified parts of unspecified animals. The animals used can be obtained from almost any source and no control is in place over quality or contamination. Any kind of animal can be included: "4-D animals" (dead, diseased, disabled, or dying prior to slaughter), goats, pigs, horses, rats, euthanized at animal shelters, restaurant and supermarket refuse and so on."[2]" Yummy stuff. Basically, pet food companies toss ingredients like this into pet food since they cant legally put it in human food. Anyway, I figure it wont be too difficult for me to just grind up grass of my own and mix it with some petroleum jelly when my cats have hairballs. That should be cheaper, too. Cat wouldn't go near it Cat wouldnt go near, much less taste, this hairball remedy; but she rejected three other similar pastes, so the problem may be with the cat, not the product. The good news is that she loves the Friskies Cat Food Crunchy Hairball Remedy Withtuna, 2.1-Ounce Pouch (Pack of 10), and it seems to have solved a problem thats been going on for 18 months. Fantastic! My cats love them!!! Rather than calling for food, they want this the first thing I get home after work every day. I give it as treat to them when ever they did good. Amazingly my cats let me clip their nails now when I put the it next to them (a sign of up coming reward), as soon as we finish nail clipping. HAPPY CATS My cats(2) love to eat grass, not the grow your own type wheat grass but lawn grass. we have to pot it in the fall & try to keep it growing all winter. Since we have been giving them Grass Gel they are not eating the fresh grass so much. They like the gel a lot and dont try to shake it off like the other stuff we have given them. If this stuff help with the hair balls we will be ordering lots more. THANKS & MY CATS THANK YOU The best hairball gel We have tried all other brands of hairball remedy for our three-legged cat, who has severe constipation and hairballs. This is the only brand that really works for him. He actually likes to eat it, too. He usually wouldnt eat, or only eat a little of the other brands. Best hairball remedy and supplement, our cats love it! This has been a favorite for our cats. They always want more. It contains extra nutrients and boosts their immune system if they seem to have the sniffles. They all had upper respiratory infections during hurricane charley in04, so we feel very fortunate to have found it. Its been on backorder in our local store; thrilled youve got it on here :) |
