Amazon has an inaccurate item description. If you order this, you will NOT get the whole Drinkwell pet fountain & reservoir. It is for the reservoir ONLY. I found out the hard way. Should have known that the price was too good to be true. To make matters worse, I called State Line Tack before I ordered it and they said it was the whole pet fountain. Now they are telling me that was incorrect.

I wasnt sure about spending so much money on a fountain for my 2 dogs and 2 cats - but it was SO worth the money. They love drinking from it! I even add a half teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar to the water (health supplement) and they still love it. They drink a lot more now.
The fountain isnt that hard to clean either. Its just disciplining yourself to unplug it and take it apart once a week and clean the water adjustment knob and motor intake area, and believe me... sitting on the floor, it DOES get dirt and hair in those areas.
I am so impressed by this fountain - I bought another one (the pink one was my second purchase) for another cat I have that lives in another part of the house.
