I had high hopes when looking at the adds and certain reviews for this deshedding treatment. My Turkish Angora cat sheds a lot, and I was excited the first time I used the product set--the amount of fur that was removed during the shampooing and treatment was impressive, as was the additional hair removed with the brush when she was dry. I could have easily created one of those pictures that the company offers, with the groomed pet surrounded by huge amounts of removed fur.
However, it did nothing to curb shedding afterwards. She still sheds as much as ever, and I found the smell from the conditioner to be very strong. Perhaps if I keep using the treatment it will make more of a difference, but I was initially disappointed. On: 2008-05-05
This is a good tool to help with shedding. We have 2 japanese chins, who shed quite a lot and this, if used regularly does help. You should use it regularly(at least twice per week) and you will be amazed at the amount of hair/fur it takes off your pet. On: 2007-07-31
We have a Black Lab mix, who sheds like crazy every season change. The shampoo and conditioner work great. Id suggest getting a hair trap for the tub though, the amount of hair she drops is insane (and bad for the pipes). The shampoo also made her coat so soft and silky - we got a lot of comments on that. Disadvantage, she seems to have more dander when using this.
Rinse very, very well and dont use shampoo more than 2x a month, or there seems to be a lot of dander. Brush with some normal brush first, THEN use the razer comb when the fur is dry. Using the razer comb repeatedly after a single wash will also cause a bit of dandruf. On: 2007-06-27
Thsi product does not live up to its claim of removing a lot of pet fur UNFORTUNATLY. I am back to the Mars coat brush which seems to be a more effective tool,
at least in my hands.
