Cat escaped, still missing

My cat was spooked while sitting next to me in our back yard, wearing this thing. He escaped in 2 seconds flat and is still missing six hours later. Useless. As effective as tying him with dental floss.

Be very careful to fasten it securely!!

We have used this harness with our male cat several times a week for over 2 years now. First Id like to address the question of size: our cat weighs 11 pounds and the medium-sized harness is now a bit tight around his body but there is plenty of room around his neck, so we had planned to replace it with a size large. Now, though, we will be purchasing a different brand because he has managed to wriggle out of this one twice. The first time, it was probably set far too loose around his neck (in other words, our own fault) - my husband said the cat was able to somehow take 2 hops and shake himself free of it. That was about a year ago, and fortunately the cat returned home about an hour later. Today, it happened again, but I was fairly certain it was tight enough when I put it on (obviously, I was wrong). I was sitting in a chair outdoors and the cat was in the harness, walking around as much as the leash would allow. He went underneath the chair for maybe 5-10 seconds, then went running away, free of the harness. Once again, we were lucky because I was able to catch him before he got out of the yard. So while it has served us well MOST of the time, it is just too scary to think of losing him if he gets loose again, as it apparently happened to one of the other reviewers of this product. Until we find a replacement, we will be very careful to cinch this one securely around his neck so that he cannot squirm free of it.

Excellent for what it's used for.

This is an excellent item for walking a cat, if thats really possible. More like they are walking you. But this is effective and perfectly adjustable for this purpose. I tried them all and this is the only one that actually fit.

Not easy to put on a cat

Not easy to put on a cat & pay attention to the sizes. The small size is ONLY for a kitten and does not adjust to an adult cat size.

Awesome product! My cat knows the harness/leash now and comes running when he sees it in my hand.
It fits him like a glove and is easy to put on him.

No choking

I have always let my cats out for fresh air and frolicing. I have had a two cats end up hanging and one was choking from the around the neck harness. This harness prevents that and for that I thank you.

while this is made well and functions as it should, neither of my (indoor) cats liked it and didnt like to be walked outside. Oh well!

Nice kitty harness

My cats enjoy walking outside with this harness. Of course, first time they ran away as soon as they see this.
I was worried about the size, but it comfortably fit my two chubby cats (one was about 20lbs, the other one was 18lbs, they are big size cats). Since I bring them outside couple times a week, they now get used to being out and walk around with curiosity. With special diet and this harness, they lost some weight and now they look more normal cats (chubby one is 17lbs, the other one is 15lbs). The harness is quite strong and easy to control. They cant easily get out of harness, so I am glad I went with this harness. I think this is the cheaper and sturdier compared to many other harness out there. One down side is you need to take them off. One day, I forgot to take one cat out of it (he was quite comfy wearing it so), and it ended up making blue line on his chest next day.

Big mistake.

The harness was ordered in a medium as my cat is two years old and of medium build.This harness was so tight it hurt my cat when I tried to put it on.I wrote the company asking them to please exchange it for a bigger size.They said no but I can order a larger size and give me free shipping.I do not have that kind of money to throw around.Poor customer service and will never order anything again from this company.

Good product

Cats need a chance to acclimate to the harness. I am confident that it would be best to start young. My cat does not seem to like wearing the harness very much. We havent used the leash yet as we are still encouraging him to be comfortable in the harness.

Cat harness and leash

Harness and leash needed for my nervous cat for airline trip. Worked very well and she was not able to squirm out of it.

Very secure, but "small" means "small"

My kitten LOVED being able to explore the deck with this on, and he really didnt seem to mind the way it felt. He quickly outgrew it though (when he was 5 months, just over 5.5 pounds, it wouldnt buckle around him at all), so I would recommend getting the Medium even if you have a small kitten.
